Theme, theme - what’s in a theme?!
Well I decided to use this theme, based on the famous (or infamous) Kubrick. I’m going to edit the crap out of it to make it my own. I need to start really digging into this WordPress thing.
Seriously, if you’re looking to start a blog, website or anything that requires a bit of back end - use WordPress. Forget all those others, this one is probably the best, easiest and really has the best features out of all of them.
What’s interesting, I was talking to a friend of mine and he said any plug-in for any other CMS could probably be converted to a WordPress plug. So, if you have a favorite PHPNuke or Subdreamer plug, chances are it can be used in WordPress with a bit of muscle.
I need to learn how to do that!
My only regret with WordPress is the inability to integrate with a forum, like PHPBB. Subdreamer has that ability, innately, however Subdreamer also costs 100 bones, which I hate.
Maybe if I learn how to code better I’ll figure out how to do that and offer it to the community. That would be nice.
Other news, the new Demon Hunter CD is awesome. Perfect mix of aggressive metal with some progressive rock/metal thrown in here and there for good melodies. Don Clark continues to impress me with his screams and his clean singing. Best of all, Bruce Fitzhugh, vocalist for Living Sacrifice (RIP) does guest vocals - and still owns.
Ok, two Christmas parties this week, college algebra and then hopefully I’ll get a break in time to travel home for Christmas. w00t.
