I think I used to be much more layed back before we moved to Grand Rapids. In Ashtabula, I was told by others how calm I always seemed. Now - I think I get gray hairs from just drawing a breath.

What happened to my calm? Where did it go?

Well, having a child has something to do with that. Not that Aidan himself is trouble, but he does cause a great lack of sleep which causes stress.

Money issues is now a huge problem. But I know that we have things we needed provided by the Hand of God. In Phi. 4:11 it talks about being content in whatever state you may be. Heck, the guy was in jail when he wrote that and was scheduled for execution if I remember correctly. Yet he found contentment anyway.

But, this day and age - not having money is a huge thing. Paul was happy even when he was physically threatened daily. But the fear of not having electricity or water or - gasp - cable internet … we can’t cope. I can’t cope.

I hope that God delivers me from such a lousy attitude.
